Hello, I have a Sony 4K tv with hdmi inputs for 4K devices, under video in settings the default for the 4000t appears to be 1080i, but when changed to 2060p the settings screen is blurry and misaligned slightly, so I quickly chose the 1080p and all was clear again….

So what is this 2060p setting for if you can not use it on a 4K tv?

    Cheers Dean :-)

    Hello skymanuk.

Wes it’s quite simple your tv is the same as my samsung.

the 2060 is the 4k (better known as ultra H.D).

However. Freeview’s main transition’s go upto and includes H.D .

Which is the 1080. default settings, as do all pvr’s on the market.

Hence, if yo have a look on your tv tuner, freeview guide list,

    you’ll find extra channels ( 4000,4001, 4002 4003 &4004)

these are previews for setting up ultra H.D on freeview in the future.

These will not appear on your Humax as it doesn’t have an ultra H.D tuner on it.

    I hope this helps.

Pointless having the option to scale up to 4K from a Full-HD source as all 4K TV’s will scale anything less than 4K to fit the display. Incidentally 4K is 2160p ( 2 x 1080). 2060p isn’t a recognised format.

Well spotted typo…it is indeed 2160p….but that said still odd to have the setting that can not be used
