InactiveIs it possible to remove recorded programs from a PVR9150T and transfer them to a HDR2000T?
Maybe with a RS232C Male to Female cable, to copy to a laptop, then transfer via USB key to the HDR2000T.
Would the recordings need to be formatted by for instance,4K Video Downloader?

InactiveBasic overview of how to do this is:
1/ Remove the drive from the PVR-9150T;
2/ Attach the drive to a windows or Linux pc and use Humaxrw to extract the recordings;
3/ Copy the TS files to the HDR-2000T via a USB drive, or use FTP.
The HDR-2000T will play the recordings just fine directly from a USB drive and so you do’t need to also copy to the HDR-2000T and use up its HDD space if you don’t want to.

InactiveThank for your prompt reply, Luke
I only have a laptop. How do I connect the HDD from the PVR9150T ?
What is Humaxrw ?
If I have to get a caddy for the HDD, what format should I get? I think that there are different formats available.

The Hard Disk in a 9150T will be an IDE one.

If by IDE you mean PATA I think you are wrong, I believe the 9150 and 9300 use SATA drives. Maybe someone who has actually had the lid off a 9150 could confirm.

InactiveI’ve had a lid off a 9300T which was launched months before the 9150T and that was a SATA. Over the years SATA has been mentioned a lot of times for the 9150T and so I doubt they were all typos! Also humaxDisk had it down as a SATA.

No need for a caddy. A simple SATA to USB converter with a power supply tend to be cheaper.

I know for definite a 9200T used a PATA drive as it’s the only one I ever owned and comtemporary with a Topfield 5800.

My recollection is that the 9150T uses a SATA hard drive..

InactiveIt will maybe say on the HDD what format it is?
What about using an RS232c cable, male to female, to transfer recordings to a laptop? It mentions the RS232C on page GB60 of the user manual.
This would be the easiest option, if it would work.
Reading about the Humaxrw makes me think that this may be too complicated for me. I thought that it would be much simpler!

Yes and it will be SATA.

The RS232 port is only for applying software updates.
This would be the easiest option, if it would work.
It will not work.

If you install the front end for humaxrw that Graham mentioned in post #4 then I would hope it would be straightforward. If Humax had activated the USB port that was part of the original specification then it would have been simpler.
