Suddenly this evening (about 8pm or so), the ‘view recordings list’ and ‘view guide’ buttons are no longer working from my remote. I can access both when I press the Freeview button (when I’m in wifi mode) So it’s not a battery problem. And the box is just coming up to a year old…
Edit: and I have tried a reboot.
Take the remote apart and clean off the pads/PCB.
For both to go in different parts of the piece, make it doubtful that dirt or muck is the problem (and there is none)
However, I’ve just gone to the Freeview TV website and the guide on there is borked as well. So that might be the answer – remote trying to service my ‘guide’ press and thus ignoring the recording list press?
…and the response on screen came back after 90 mins! Bizarre – I think it must be related to the source data on the website.
