Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what file formats are supported for photos on the HDR1000S?

All my photos are JPGs (which I thought was the most common for photos) but when I try to view “play” them I get a file not supported error message.

What size in pixels are they ? Remember the box has to scale them down to fit a display that likely only has 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 frame format, if no black borders are required.

Also check they weren’t saved in progressive jpeg format.

Right click on a file and choose properties.

Here’s the file info for one of the images (taken by my phone).

Width 4128 Pixels

Height 2322 Pixels

Horizontal Resolution 72DPI

Vertical Resolution 72DPI

Bit Depth 24

Resolution Unit 2

Colour Representation sRGB

I can’t find any mention of progressive jpeg.

Can you upload an example to file share site. I will open it in photoshop and rescale it and upload as a test. that’s a very high res image

To fit a 16:9 display requires the horizotal and vertical res to be 1920 x 1080 ( divide both by 2.15).

Hi Graham,

I resized a few images and they “play” perfectly.

I would never have considered that the image size would be an issue (probably because I have never tried to view Photos on TV).

There is some software around that will automate the process, if you have office word can do it.
