For a month or two, my Humax HDR with standard firmware has occasionally frozen and rebooted during the playing back of a new recording. If I try to replay the recording, it causes a reboot at exactly the same point. My deduction is that there’s one or more bad sectors on the hard drive. Would that be a reasonable assessment? If so, I’ve got a replacement green drive I bought some time back “just in case” – is that an easy swap out if l copy the programs I want to retain over to a fat 32 formatted USB drive first?
