When I buy AV equipment, I usually buy another OEM remote for my partner to use. Having searched the Internet I can’t find anyone selling a remote control for the 5000t.
Humax direct show out of stock for identical looking remote though labelled as for the 4000,which I thought was different.

The remotes for the 4000 and 5000T are now the same – RM-L08
Many thanks. I thought that might be the case unless their website had made a mistake. However they don’t seem to have any stock at the moment.
I have also been looking for a new remote for a while. Everywhere seems out of stock, so I assume there is a supply issue.
There are a couple of second hand remotes on eBay, which are now more expensive than new! Strangely, there seem to be a couple of German retailers with them in stock?

I have not been able to get a response from Humax regarding replacement remotes. The next time you have contact with someone at Humax, please could you ask when remotes will be available again and if there is an alternative source?
Completely appreciate if this is not possible.

I was told by Humax Direct, after some delay, that they were expecting new stock at the end of this week!

Probably because the same remote is used by Humax boxes available in Germany. Consider a lower end logitech Harmony remote. The logitech Humax-4000T device works with both the 4000T and 5000T and unlike the 5000T device allows you to change the infra red code set.

Just to update everyone, the RM-L08 is now back in stock at Humaxdirect.
