I wanted to copy a recording to Flashdrive to watch on an old non-network TV.
Anything SD could be copied and watched but not in HD.
Inspection using Windows Properties>Details showed the data for Video (Data rate etc.) were missing.
(Playing back HD on Humax 4000 or 2000 was no probs).
Is this normal? Surely Copyright etc. are not anything to do with SD or HD? (Same with my old 2000 Humax).

Yes.
Surely Copyright etc. are not anything to do with SD or HD?
The requirements for encryption are set by the broadcasters and they seem to want greater protection for HD content.
