I have an HDR 1000 and an HDR1100s. I would like to know if it is possible to control both from the Freesat App?
Yes, but two problems…
1) If you pair the boxes to the app, to enable remote setting of recordings, the box will boot up every 20 mins to check the Freesat servers for a recording command. Excess wear on your HDD in the box.
2) When the app is used simply as a remote control, the boxes cannot be identified by any meaningful name, they issue an Id that is some jumble of characters as a device code. If the boxes are on the same LAN you will need to note down the codes for each box in order to determine which one you are controlling.
Otherwise it’s just excellent 🙄
