I have removed some editable channels in order to have a TV guide which only contains more relevant channels. Is there a simple way to put back any of the removed channels if I want to without doing a factory default reset which would return every channel ?
Nope. You have to retune (factory default).
You can just run a freesat tune. It will ask for a postcode but will like a factory reset delete your recording schedule, but will retain your user settings changed from the defaults So make a note or photograph the recording schedule.
You can’t add back individual channels.
What’s required is a “Hide Channels” feature, protected by PIN code.
