I have a Humax DTR T2000 box. It is located on a shelf under the TV. Unfortunately there is some furniture obstruction in front of the box meaning that I have to hold the remote in the air pointing over the obstruction and down towards the box. I would like to get a repeater so that I can more easily aim the remote control.
Can anyone advise me what repeater would solve my problem? Also, as my Humax box is not behind a door, will I need to cover over the IR receiver on it?

Something like this would do.
