InactiveHi,
I’m trying to bulk delete a number of programs in file manager – edit mode – delete. But the folder I’m trying to delete has a bin symbol with a blue horizontal line which seems to block me from deleting it. I thought the folder might have been protected by error but it isn’t.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

InactiveWhat is in the folder?
Are there any protected files in the folder?

InactiveIt was a series record of kids tv show. Not protected.
In fact, we forgot about the series record and it has basically filled the hard disk and all needs deleting.
In fact my other question is it looks like the series record has cancelled automatically when the hard drive limit was reached. Does this sound right? We want to make sure it won’t keep recording now! When we go onto the tv guide it doesn’t look like anything’s set to record anymore.

InactiveIt is a long time since I had a Foxsat but I seem to remember there were two types of protection.
The display of the bin symbol indicates the Foxsat thinks one of the files has been protected.
If the series is still running I would expect the item would still be in the schedule but stop recording due to the lack of space I would check.
If you cannot find why the protected symbol is showing then there are only two alternatives:
1. A HardDisk format
2. Install the custom firmware (Excellent) which would enable the files to be deleted by linux command.

InactiveTry protecting it then unprotecting it?
Presumably you were able to delete the programmes within the folder? If not try moving them out of the folder then delete them.

InactiveOn my Foxsat HDR I choose the main folder, then highlight the episode and press enter. Then scroll to delete, press enter and then delete. Do this for each episode and the folder will also delete.
The recording schedule can be deleted by highlighting the programme, then press opt.
