I have a HDR1000S and have noticed that in the last few days, Channel 901 (On Demand iPlayer) has disappeared. I have run Channel Search to reset but still no Channel 901.
That’s correct. It’s been removed some time back. You simply use the on demand app for BBC iPlayer via the on demand menu – it still works correctly via this or via the EPG. Freesat have taken the decision to remove channel/also partly linked to older PVRs no longer working with iPlayer which worked via EPG guide. I think I am correct? Please correct me anyone/add any more detail.
I had access to Channel 901 earlier this year and I didn’t think the 1000s was flagged in the list of old PVRs.
Channel 901 deleted 24/01/2017. Age of PVR has nothing to do with it. iplayer can be accessed either via on demand option or red button on any BBC channel. It was never needed on 2nd generation boxes.
