InactiveSince Monday my box has stopped recording all my scheduled recordings during the day time. Anything after 6pm is fine however.
I’ve tried recording different channels, resetting the schedules recording but all to no avail.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?
The box has been retuned recently. It’s probably about 6 years old

Was that a manual retune? Are you confident the box is tuned to a single transmitter?

InactiveIt wasn’t a manual retune. How would I check if it was a single transmitter or not?

Check for duplicate channels in the 800’s

InactiveI don’t have any channels in the 800’s but I can’t see any dupes anywhere else euther

You wont find duplicates anywhere else. If the box finds a duplicate channel during the auto tune process it stores them in the 800’s. Depending on the two transmitters the one with the correct logical channel number may be the one from your best transmitter or it may not.
You didn’t by any chance have them after the tune and manually deleted them ?

InactiveNope, I literally re tuned it and left it. It has been recording fine for about two weeks without issue since the retune and then this has just happened.
One of the programmes which doesn’t record is on itv but then a programme later in the evening on itv record fine.

ParticipantWhat happens if you set a manual recording for the ITV programme that fails to record ?

InactiveTried that this morning and that fails as well. Then the recordings from 5:30pm are all fine.
It’s a mystery. I’ve checked and we’ve had power to the box all day.

ParticipantThis is the wierdest HDR-FOX-T2 issue I have ever seen. I take it live pause/rewind works OK ?
Was the box left in sby and left to boot itself to make the recordings ?
If left on does it then make the recordings ?
Are the evening recordings made after you boot the box or also made from sby ?
If all the failed recordings are made from sby it could be a clock module issue.

InactiveYes live pause and rewind is fine.
Box is in standby when left to record. It’s been both on when making the recordings apart from once last night when it was off and recorded.
Is it possible for me to check the clock module?

If the box records during the day (or any other time) if left on (turn off auto power off) and fails to record if left off, presumably the internal clock is not maintaining the time. When booted the box takes the time from the currently tuned channel.
Remember if you turn off the box within 15 mins of a recording being due, it won’t go into sby as it’s looking for the recording start codes from the broadcaster. This could easily explain the one recording that worked.

InactiveJust a thought of another possible avenue. Is it possible that last weekend, or slightly earlier, that the electrics were rearranged or reconfigured so that a masthead amplifier power supply is no longer powered during the day but comes on when the TV or some other device is switched on for the evening?

Nothing has changed internally at all, so not sure.

I’ll try leaving the box on tomorrow and see what happens.
