InactiveDoes anybody know how to auto change the screen size from 16/9 or 4/3 for new widescreen standard programmes and the older 4/3 programmes that I had recorded to view them full screen, the only was to doi this is change the setting manually if I wanted to watch a recording that is shot in 4/3 mode, to change it to full screen. my tv settings are in 16/9 always, and the freeview player on the tv itself changes automatically to full screen, but the HDR 1800T does not, anybody help please…
I connect using a HDMI to an LG 47LH3000 TV

InactiveHi johnross1983
In order for it to work properly you must have both the 2000T and the TV set to auto or 16/9 if your TV is wide screen.
barring in mind that the 16/9 picture will be proper 16/9 and 4×3 picture will be proper 4×3 with the edges cut off.
I have found its just best to set them both to 16/9 then you get a proper 16/9 and 4×3 picture.
If you watch a lot of 4×3 content you could temporary select 4.3 zoom on the 2000T, which will zoom the picture to full screen.
But you will need to change it back to watch proper wide screen (16/9)

InactiveHi thanks, yes this is what I had been doing but I just wondered why there isn’t an ‘auto’ or ‘full screen’ setting to do this?
I thought I was maybe needing to update but I am on the latest firmware (12 Aug 2015) and thought there may have been a more recent update by now…

I agree, it is a pain. Our TV does this automatically but not the 2000T. I’m afraid is not a feature rich product. It appears as far as Humax is concerned to be their unloved child.
