    … commands.

    Good morning everyone.

    This is my first post.

I collected the above from the Post Office yesterday (Ebay purchase), plugged it in, was surprised it worked perfectly with no need to even do a satellite Search.

I recorded something in the afternoon as a test – Perfect.

But later in the evening, it stopped taking commands from the remote, it is stuck on ITV1. I have rebooted, unplugged, turned off, bu no joy. Still stuck on ITV1. Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to our Forum :-)

Have you tired new batteries in remote?

Does it respond to buttons on front of unit behind flap?

If all else fails you could try a remote recode see FAQ

    Thanks Barry

Yes batteries are fine, remote flashes red when I press buttons.

I had looked at the remote recode option, but it scared me a bit #technophobe.

I’ll try the buttons behind flap, it opened yesterday by accident when I took recorder out of the box, but coukdn’t open it again last night 😆

    Cheers.

Make sure it is the ‘PVR’ LED which flashes red when you press the buttons on the remote control. If not, press the PVR button itself, then try.

That was it Dino. Many thanks.

It was the ‘TV’ that was flashing when I pressed the buttons. I pressed ‘PVR’ … all ok again :D.

I wonder how it got into that frozen’ state last night. Must have been something I did without realising.

    You’re welcome.

It is easily done. The remote control has four modes. It controls the Humax, but you can program it to control a TV, a DVD player and an Audio device.

If you use it as a multi-role controller, you switch it between modes using the 4 white buttons and it indicates what role it is in by lighting the appropriate white button when you press a normal button.

At some point you have pressed white ‘TV’ button – so it will have been sending signals for a TV. Pressing white ‘PVR’ switches it back to controlling the Humax.

    Cheers.

I have downloaded the manual PDF now.
