I have been experimenting with my 9300T in an attempt to solve the niggling issues – (reset on standby, odd black screen for a few seconds I have reloaded the latest firmware a couple of times and it seems to work okay for a day or so then problems resurface so i am wondering if I have a failing hard drive.

    Any suggestions please.

The software is not on the hard drive it is in flash RAM.

Thanks Martin for the reply. Do the sysyem files on the hard drive only cover the recordings?

The data on the hard drive is the recordings, the time shift buffer and the cached version of the EPG.

Many thanks for the info. I must have a main board fault.

Yes that is my feeling; the reset on coming out of standby problem affects a lot of people.

Thanks Martin, Has there been any workarounds? Even leaving mine on 24 hrs day it sometimes defaults – usually from 720 to 576 resolution and a different frame size. Everything else seems to function okay although it is getting a bit long in the tooth now i.e not HD etc Maybe time to consider a replacement.

The usual complaint is that the schedule for future recordings is lost; is that being preserved for you?

Could be. The only work around that I have heard of is to leave it on 24 hours a day. It is an odd problem because it doesn’t affect the 9200T which has very similar software which makes me think it is most likely a hardware issue.

In answer to your question –

‘The usual complaint is that the schedule for future recordings is lost; is that being preserved for you?’

    Recording Schedule is also lost.
