It still has the capability, just no way of easy access to it via the ‘text’ button or even via the red button when you are not connected to the internet.

Unfortunately until youview fix the issue you can normally only get the non-split version via switching to a BBC radio channel, selecting ‘red’ and then Index/199.

If you ever get a broadcast message up that asks if you want more info then select ‘yes’ and it will give you the normal split screen version. But that happens rarely and you could be waiting months for it to happen, but at least it shows that the functionality is still there and all youview have to do is reinstate the ‘text’ button.
