InactiveDoes the FVP-4000T have Universal Search across Live TV and Catch Up?
YouView has a really good universal search which looks across Live TV and all Catch Up services. Does the FVP-4000T have this?
Thanks

InactiveIt only searches now and future programs. It’s also a bit clunky where you need to press the ‘search’ button then ‘ok’ to bring up the keyboard. It will also find clips on YouTube etc.

InactiveQuote:It only searches now and future programs.Do you mean it doesn’t search catch up? Just Live broadcast TV that is on now and that is coming soon.
Thanks for the comment.
Quote:It will also find clips on YouTube etc.YouTube but not other apps like iPlayer? How odd.
Thanks

InactiveYes, no catch up. I haven’t checked Iplayer but that is mainly catch up so I don’t think so.

. ThanksI’m considering switching from Youview but that has useful things this doesn’t. Like universal search. I don’t find I go backwards in time in the EPG. I tend to search.

InactiveThat’s fair enough. The Iplayer does, of course, have its own search function.

InactiveTrue.
I’m starting to lean that way. Even if it would take longer to load the app it would do the job.
YouView is good but quite limited really though.

InactiveIt may take longer to load the app but if what you want to watch is on Iplayer you’ll need to load it anyway.

InactiveTrue.
The Youview universal search is very good but it’s only a minor point really. As long as you know which service the programme exists on (which you will) you can just fire up that particular app.

InactiveMy old 4200 had a great search function, I used it to search for movies coming up during the whole week but the new search function only does what’s on now. It’s not half as good. I know myself and others have mentioned this to Humax but no joy as yet.

Are you referring to the FVP4000T? I’m asking this because when I search using mine I do get programs coming up during the week.

Inactiveoh, maybe they have changed it, I’ll have a look. Cheers

InactiveNope, it’s not changed, when I do a genre search it only brings up what’s on now or the next hour.

OK, you and I have been talking at cross purposes. I have been talking about using the ‘Smart Search’ function rather than the Genre search.

InactiveIs Smart Search the regular search?
Which I presume searches everything now and over the next 7 days across all broadcast TV?
Thanks
