I have been reading the topic on HDD failures and read that some senior members have replaced their HDD with a larger HDD. Could you outline how to do this please for those with 40+ ears of reasonable skills in dismantling cars, PCs and other electrical items? Would an entry in FAQs be helpful? Many thanks February 16, 2016 at 2:54 pm #69021 grahamlthompsonParticipant Case screws hidden under stick on feet. Other than that it’s a straight forward job. Repassac and I have 2TB WD-AV drive. Before you ask you can’t copy existing recordings to the new drive. February 16, 2016 at 2:58 pm #69022 AnonymousInactive OK so pull off the HDD connector (SATA?) and power and plug into a new HDD. Does the drive get formatted by the box on rebooting then? Any maximum size of HDD?
