Hi, just upgraded from hdr foxsat to hdr 1100s. Overall its a great improvement but I cant get the android apps and media share working. The instructions for this are none existant. I have registered the box with freesat and it says it is paired but any android freesat app I try to use says that the device must be connected to the same network and nothing shows on media share. Unless my ethernet cable plugs into next doors wireless router I dont understand how this is possible?
The freetime app works paired or unpaired.
unpaired it will act as a remote control.
Paired it will allow you to schedule recordings remotely at the expense of waking every 20 mins to check with freesats servers.
Launch the app – select settings.
Under remote control choose “Scan for freetime boxes”.
You should then see a unit ID appear under remote control.
You can also pair it via the apps settings.
The freesat unit neeeds to be powered up of course.
