“Enabling them to surface content directly on the home screen”? What does that mean?
At a guess it may be similar to the Samsung smart TV home screen in its latest form. In each of the boxes representing an input, including on-demand and attached media devices, it shows the content being displayed by that input at the moment you displayed the home screen. Sort of multiple PIP but static.
I thought since I posted, it may just be a change to the Roku-Sky licensing agreement, rather than anything technically innovative.
