Can anyone help?!?
Left my HDR 1000 disconnected for a year in 2014. Now trying to update it. Have successfully updated the software (3.00.18), but the loader is still at version 1.02. First question is what does the loader software do and second is any ideas how I can update it?!?

The loader has two functions:
1. to boot the Linux system.
2. to update firmware.
Loader changes are frequenctly to facilitate manufacturing.
Unless advised, there is no reason to update the loader.
