I recently bought a secondhand T-1000 in immaculate condition. But subsequently I seem to recall coming across reference to reliability issues with this model – or did I dream it?

DTR-T10*0 failure reports are very common. Not so much nowadays, as it’s largely been replaced by the (reportedly) more reliable models. A major difference between the two boxes is the external PSU on the 2000s, so watch your box to see if it seems to be overheating. But there’s probably different causes for the many reported failures. Fingers crossed.
