    Hi all,

I’m just coming off Topfield with Freeview, and looking for something similar.

I had started to think between the Humax hdr2000t & Magicbox (with triple tuners).

I have no experience with Humax stuff so would appreciate some advice please.

I have just seen the FVP-4000T model, which also has 3 tuners, which probably rules out the Magicbox.

Is anyone willing to list a few pro’s & con’s of various models please ?

Any other advice, availability, prices, offers etc greatly received.

    UPDATE:

I bought the FVP 4000T in the end.

On first looks, it seems very nice.

All I need to do now, is learn the internal secrets.

Is there a specific page to get to know about the native components, and/or any add-ons / apps etc ?

    thanks for reading

    Welcome to our Forum :-)

Don’t think anyone has taken the lid off as yet to have a look inside.

add-ons/apps – only those provided by Humax in the apps section of on demand menu.

Don’t expect any customisation as you had with the topfield.

Admin note: have removed your duplicate post on same subject.

    many thanks Barry,

I didn’t actually mean ‘internals’ as in the inside,,,,, rather any secrets, magic buttons, up-dates, PC connectivity etc.

I know the Toppy will take some beating, but the Humax came out best, as far as my research went.

Love it so far,,,, but see separate message re Fault.

    cheers for now
