Hi, under Recordings on the left hand side is a greyed out option ‘To be deleted’ was just wondering what this option is for as i have never been allowed to highlight it, many thanks.

When the disk is getting full – recordings will appear here that are scheduled for future auto delete.

ooops, I gave the answer for the HDR-1xx0S units, hope it is the same.

Interesting. Any ideas how auto-delete actually works? What’s the criteria and when does it delete?

From experience with other Humax units:

Oldest recordings deleted first unless locked is how it should work, not tested by me as yet.

I am unable to set Auto Delete on. It is highlighted in blue and set to Off but can’t be changed.

Was the box recording or within 20 mins of a accurate recording due to start. If so many of the options aren’t selectable. Check the recording schedule for both conditions and if clear try again.

Thanks for replying but I’ve checked the schedule just now and the next scheduled recording is 5 hours away and the Auto Delete is still stuck at Off. Both Start Padding Time and End Padding Time are set to Auto. Can this have anything to do with it?

No they won’t be involved. Not a setting I have used previously but just tried and I can switch it on.

Thanks for trying. I’ll have to live with it. One of the things I miss is the ability to recover accidentally deleted programmes the way I could with the Sky box.
