Inactivehi,
I must apolgise for what may be a rather naive and stupid posting but I cannot find an answer on google ….
but is there anyway I can get YouTube on my T1000 please?
I have recently bought my first Youview box – a used T1000 and after just 24 hours am absolutely in love with it.
I have re scanned all channels, downloaded the latest update and it all works like a dream except that I cannot get to grips with the Apps section.
from the Guide I get about 13 players shown and just 2 apps – BBC News and Sport – but how do I add more?
I’m really only interested in YouTube to be fair, and have seen it(and many others) at the app market at https://www.myhumax.net/AppMarket
that site simply shows what is available – there is no advice on how to get them on one’s box.
I cannot even trust what is said about on which models a particular app can run, as T1000 is not listed under BBC, which I do have.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

You cannot add youtube to a DTR T1000.
YouView control what is available via ondemand/apps.

Inactivethanks Barry,
that was what I feared – I’ll have to delve into which Humax boxes can handle it, but it’s not a deal killer re my T1000

ModeratorFor freeview:
New HDR 1800/2000T and FVP 4000T
Used you could try looking for a HDR T2
For freesat:
New – HDR 1100S, you may find some stock of 1000/1010S still available.

InactiveIf you want to add YouTube and you have a spare HDMI socket on your TV you could get a NowTV box. There are really good offers on in Argos and Asda at the moment. You can get the latest model (based on the Roku 2) with 2 months movies or 3 months entertainment for £15. After your subscription is over you can still use the other apps available on the device. It has YouTube and Vevo apps amongst others.

InactiveI must say that I’m impressed with the quick responses and good advice on this forum – methinks my next purchase should be an HDMI splitter!
