Hi everybody, First let me announce that I am NOT Tech savvy so I hope that somebody may be able to help such an ignoramus. I have just purchased the Humax FVP-4000T because of ALL THAT IT OFFERS! My old Humax PVR-9300T was ‘jumping’ during playback of recorded programmes….not good for trying to stay up with current drama programmes!!

My new Humax FVP-4000T

I have tried to install all that will allow me to gain access to ‘Catch Up’ but I have failed repeatedly.

The best so far is:

Local Area Network CONNECTED

Internet DISCONNECTED

I am wondering whether I need to change my BT HOMEHUB 2.0 for a more up to date ‘wireless’ hub. There is no telephone point in the lounge, so ethernet connection is not an option.

Obviously I do not want to start paying out for upgrades if any new hub in the’study’ remains too far from the Humax in the lounge.
