I’ve got a Foxsat HDR, which has worked well for years. In the last few months, it’s started switching itself on for no obvious reason, as follows:
I’ve left it in Standby mode, with only a red light showing on the front panel. Every day, at 5pm, it switches to Operational mode. NB this is not “Standby and recording” mode where it shows the time on the front panel, it’s fully operational.
Why’s it doing this? There is nothing set to record, no-one’s playing with the remote, etc. Software is HPRSFCI 1.00.21
It’s not a big problem, but I’m not keen on it happening when I’m away from home for several days.

Check Menu – Settings – Time
Power ON is set to disable.
Other than that make a note of or photograph your recording schedule and try a reset to factory defaults.

Well that seems to have fixed it! Thanks again Graham.
Goodness knows how that setting got changed – someone fiddling with the remote perhaps.
