InactiveI was looking to find a way to record radio and found myself on BBC Radio 3.
Now I can’t find a way out of it!
I’m pressing every button and nothing seems to work – even the power off button.
Help please!
I now have found I can turn off the Humax manually with the switch off button on the front but when I switch on again I’m back to the same Radio 3 screen.
UPDATE. Somehow I have now found myself back to the radio list. Can somebody tell me how to get back to the TV list.
For again no buttons seem to change anything – even scroll.
Oh dear I’m now back to the Radio 3 page – back to square one!
And the Humax colour display at the front has changed from blue to red!
Sorry to be a pain.

InactiveDid you trigger the BBC Radio screensaver? Press zero to exit.

InactiveThanks James – pressing zero but nothing happens
The only buttons that do anything are TV and PVR – each showing a picture of a remote.

InactivePressing blue button and TV together and nothing changes. Can’t see an HD TV
I will try turning off at mains even though I’ll lose a recording I guess

InactiveDoes a red LED indicate recording? Try pressing stop?
November 10, 2015 at 8:59 pm #65013Anonymous
InactiveSorry do you mean Stop on the remote? Cant find a stop there
Where is the stop on the front of the Humax please
I can see on off and volume…
The LED – light on the front if that’s what you mean – is showing red now.
Shall I switch everything off at the wall?

InactiveI switched the Humax off at the wall and waited three minutes and plugged it in again.
And I’m back in the same place with Radio 3 on.
Frustrated and fed up.
Do hope somebody there has an idea
Thanks

ModeratorJust try pressing a number button on the remote ie 1 this should change unit to BBC1

InactiveThank you Barry
But as I said no buttons work – except TV and PVR and thgese only bring up a little image of a remote on screen
Even the power button doesn’t work – altho as I said I have turned off the unit by touching the on off button at the front manually.
But when IU turn it on again all is the same
And when I unplug and turn it on again – all is the same

Sorry, I was away. I meant press whatever button stops the box recording. But I see you’ve tried switching off at the wall, which would certainly stop it recording, and that hasn’t helped so you can forget about my suggestion.

InactiveLooking at the manual, there are channel up-down buttons on the front of the box. Do they work?
November 10, 2015 at 9:49 pm #65019Anonymous
InactiveI have again unplugged it and will leave it for half an hour or so.
But I fear that won’t help because I’ve found the Humax returns usually to whatever station it was on previously.
And that’s what I don’t want.
If anybody has any bright ideas I’d be so grateful.
It isn’t a problem with the remote because I had that the other day and replaced the batteries.
I’ve now replaced again with a new set.

InactiveDo the channel up-down buttons work (on the box)?
November 10, 2015 at 9:53 pm #65021Anonymous
InactiveSorry James – our postings clashed.
You are right those buttons changed the channels so I now appear to be on another radio station.
Now I need to know how I can get back to TV
I won’t touch the remote again until somebody can guide me thro it if poss
Thanks again
UPDATE
I have checked the remote and as before nothing works.
Surelythe P up anddown should change channels?
Menu button, numbers, OK buttons all don’t work including power on and off button.
Is this some indication that the remote is faulty do you think?
