    My son has let the box run and record 400 episodes of an American series. When I try and delete series it deletes about 10 episodes and then reboots the HDR – what can I do or is it a software glitch..??

    I think that is a record. There have been reports of this happing with a very large number of recordings (>256) but it has not been recreated. Advice is try again and educate son in programme taste.

    have rebooted the pvr several times. but to no effect. Still 400+ episodes left to go

    With that much on the HDD I would suggest a reformat is a quicker option, unless you have something else of value to lose.
