The buttons on my remote cause the PWR button to light up(everytime), but only work approx 1 in 5 presses. Pressing hard doesn’t seem to make a difference.
I have tried:
changing batteries
opening up the remote and cleaning contacts
resetting the remote
powering down the box
checked the infrared is working by looking at it through a camera
My first thought was to buy a new remote, but i am not convinced this will work as my remote is clearly transmitting with every button press.
any ideas?
box is 2 years old.

Just to confirm i have checked the infrared transmitter on the remote is working by looking at it through the lens of a camera. It consistently transmits…. just doesn’t often change the channel, affect the volume etc. Can take 10 to 20 keypresses now to affect a change.
