I have two PVR-9300T boxes, but one of the remote controls has stopped working. I have tried using the second remote control and it works fine on both boxes. I tried new batteries in the remote control that’s not working, and also swapped the batteries from the working remote control, but nothing gets it to work, and so it appears to definitely be a problem with the remote control.
I’ve never known a remote control to go wrong before on any device. Is there any way to fix it, or do I need to get a new one?

Take it to pieces and clean out all the accumulated greasy gunge. If necessary, add sticky-backed aluminium foil or conductive paint to the rubber keys.
It works a treat.
