InactiveGreetings all from north wales. This issue is driving me mad. Humax have replaced the box once but still the same problem. When I wake up the box from standby I rarely get the ‘network is connected’ message Most times I have to go to settings and ask it to find the network again. The internet is BT Home Hub 5 fibre to the cabinet with connection speed around 12mbps. The LAN connection is by Devolo DLan 500 wifi with a connection speed of 72mbps. I can run my iPhone from the wifi signal so know the internet is there. I have looked for software updates but there aren’t any. Anybody got any clues please. Fred.

InactiveI would guess that it is the “innovative PowerSave technology” of the Devolo 500 that is the root of the problem.
Previous posts using power-line plugs with such features also had problems. My guess is it’s some sort of timing issue.
Why did you involve Wi-Fi at all? Two simple home plugs would have done the trick.

InactiveThanks for the prompt answer. Will check it out but my other older Humax box doesn’t have the problem. Neither do the two house PC’s connected to the system. WiFi in this house is a problem as all the stone walls are over a meter thick and it was the only way to make ipads and iphones work all over the house.

ParticipantHave you tried reserving the IP address used by your 1000S in the router setup to ensure it always gets the same IP Address

InactiveHi Graham, I think your suggestion might have worked. Have gone deeper into the Home Hub setup and it looks like that has solved the problem. Though On Demand is showing ‘Not Available’ 901 and ITV 903 are working OK.

Can take up to 20 minutes to appear, thereafter a minute or so after a boot from sby.

InactiveAll still working OK. Only odd thing is that the Humax Box isn’t showing on the BT Home Hub front page. And in the network settings it’s showing as not connected when it obviously is! Are there separate channel numbers for All Four and Demand 5?

The Humax does not have a host name (because I think there may be more than one). This may account for the absence on the router.
No to Q2.
