    Can anyone tell my why accessing the BBC news services on the Red Button is such a hit and miss affair? Some days it works perfectly well, others it doesn’t work at all. This applies to all BBC channels, SD & HD.

    Does access via channel 981 continue to work ?

    Hi Gillinger, you are not alone. I have wondered about that problem for some time. A you rightly say, some days, or at various times during any day, there is no response form the “red” button, at other times it works as expected. All very strange, I have noticed it particularly on channel 108 on Freesat (BBC1HD), going to 200 (BBC NEWSHD) will usually get a response from the red button. Any wizard care to give an explanation?
