Had my kit a while and this is just a query. It is on standby all the time. when I flash it up someitmes there is all the preamble stuff before going to pic but sometimes that is missed out and goes straight to the prog. That no problem but just wonder why it does it. Great piece of kit tho this my third Humax recorder.

The accurate record function boots the unit 15 minutes before scheduled start and monitors for actual programme start [Change to running status]. When you turn it on in this state or when it is actually recording you get the fast start-up.

This could be because the unit is recording, or due to record within the next 15 minutes.
Edit: Must type faster!
If it is recording or is about to record or has just finished recorded it will already be in an intermediate standby state and takes just seconds to turn itself fully on rather than the much longer time it takes to go through the full preamble.
