InactiveWhen I turn on the box after it being off overnight it powers up but there is no picture or sound on the tv. If I leave it on for around 20-30mins the picture/sound will come on and the unit will work as normal. Turning on & off the tv and humax makes no difference. I tried a reset and left it on BBC 1 HD. If we disconnect the power cable it will come on as normal.
The box doesn’t seem to freeze while we have no picture/sound as the front panel shows if I change volume or change channel.
Anyone else experience this or have any advice? Thanks.

ParticipantTry selecting a different hdmi input on the TV and then back to the one used by the HDR1000S.
What setting do you have for the box output resolution ?
If you add a temporary scart cable to the TV can you see the box output ) (It will of course only be in SD) ?
What make and model of TV do you have ?

InactiveHi Graham. I tried changing hdmi inputs and going back to the humax but no luck.
The resolution is set to 1080i and the tv is a Sony KDL-40V3000.
I’ll see if I can find a scart cable & check if the output working with it.
Thanks.

Try a different hdmi port and/or another HDMI cable. Make sure the hdmi plugs are fully inserted.

InactiveYou could also try tuning off Bravia Sync on the TV (HDMI-CEC).
Then restart the TV and put the Humax in standby for 60 secs then disconnect the power. If you disconnect it at the rear of the unit wait 60 secs and repower. If you disconnect at the mains wait 60 secs AFTER the green light on the power supply goes off.
Problem sounds similar to what I had on my Philips TV until I killed HDMI-CEC. It is strange because I know it works fine on Barry’s different Philips TV model.

InactiveI think it may have been Bravia Sync. That was turned on. I have switched it off and the box displayed the picture normally when I turned it on today. I’ll test it over the next few days to make sure. Thanks for your help.
