I have the 2000T, just over a year old. Recently it began to delete while recording and would come up with message “only 30 seconds recording” when in fact it had been recording for over an hour. As I went in to the menu it would indicate the box was deleting something, presumably the one I was trying to record. I contacted Humax support by phone. They told me to disconnect the power while still on, reconnect and format HDD.(losing all my recorded programs) I did that and everything was ok. Unfortunately it happened again 6 days later so I tried again but this time it didn’t work. Humax sent me an email with what I regarded as gobbledegook, I am not a tech minded person but they expected me to understand the technical instructions. I ask would my warranty have been honoured if I had ruined the machine, I doubt it. I have had to return it to John Lewis who will send it away, presumably to have the update. I am annoyed Humax expects their customers to fix their faulty products.
