Yesterday the LNB was covered in ice so we had no satellite signal. So Ok we’ll watch something on iplayer. Wrong ! Despite having fully working internet connection we didn’t even get to the menu.
Why is this ? Surely internet is separate to Tv ?
Yes this is correct, you cannot use on demand without a satellite feed. Possible reason is because it needs the Freesat Home Transponder.
Thanks – little short-sighted of the designers then…. On demand works fine on Pc or tablet etc without recourse to any transponder.
Oh well will have to invest in long handled brush !
