InactiveHi again
I wanted to show a few selected YouTube files via the 2000T. Even with very specific searches the files that were available on the net on my PC, the phone and tablet were simply not there.
I logged in with both Family and personal+pin logins but no good.
I was trying to get Midsomer Murders Death in Disguise which you will find easily on the net version of YouTube, but not on the Humax 2000T version?
Any thoughts and/or info welcomed
TIA

InactiveTry searching on the string death_in_disguise. Comes up with no trouble on my box.

InactiveExcited to see the underscores used as I had tried everything else in my searches but, however that episode has not come up. It has been posted on YouTube as several parts.
It is this and the following I cannot get:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L27t54xltdg
Thanks

InactiveApologies vigman, I mistook the sub-forum. My box is a HB1000S.
Can you pair your tablet with the Humax YouTube app and thus watch the episode on your TV?

InactiveThanks, James. I’ve been trying hard to do this. I can use DLNA to send stored video, photo or music files but have found no way of pairing or sending the tablet live display to the Humax 2000T.
BTW why should the Humax 2000T not see the full YouTube files available, please?

InactiveI don’t know. Could be to do with the search function on that particular app, I suppose.

InactiveAnswered on AVforums saying that this episode is not available on the 2000T YouTube service but is on freetime boxes!?
Why please Humax?
TIA

InactiveWhich version of the Youtube app is on the freetime boxes?
Is it the version that has the red and white icons down the left hand side? The HDR-2000T Youtube app is older than that and uses a version that does not appear to support pairing.

Yes the freetime version has the icons down the left side.

InactiveThe video in question is also available on my 2012 Samsung TV’s YouTube app, which does not have the menu icons down the lefthand side. There doesn’t seem to be a version number on any of these YouTube apps.
Edit. The TV version does support pairing. Also, both the Freetime box and the TV have ITV Player in their catchup section. I wonder if YouTube only shows TV catchup content on devices where the relevant player is present, i.e. rights have been agreed.

Good idea but there are some Midsomer Murders episodes on the HDR FOX T2, including some from the same series, the one that the OP wants is missing and others I guess.

I will check out Youtube on my Panasonic TV and report later.

ParticipantInteresting, my 2014 Panny has Freetime (satellite tuners) and apps.
The app is the newer version and will pair to my phone (and has the missing episode). The freetime On Demand option doesn’t have the youtube app at all. It does have the options not available as apps.

InactiveYes, interesting. Meanwhile I’ve checked the YouTube app on my Panasonic Blu-Ray/HDD Recorder. This does not have ITV Player, but it does have the YouTube version with the icons down the LH side, and it does offer pairing, and it does have the Midsomer Murders episode.
So my guess about it depending on the presence / absence of ITV Player fails.

you have started something
. You tube on my LG 3D Blu-ray is the same. Only apps are NOW TV, BBC iplayer, You Tube and Amazon. And it can also be paired to my phone. Never seen 3 devices in the pairing list before.
