The rubber pad on my remote has worn out, I have tried to repair it with some bits from another remote, this worked for a while but is now failing, the contacts on thw circuit board are OK, the carbon has worn of the pad.
Is there a cheaper option to buying a new remote like a new pad or cheap universal remote?

Did the remote come with a HB1000S bought new? If so, it might be worth contacting the retailer and requesting a replacement.

Is the box still under warranty? If so call Humax support and they will send you a new remote control. There is one on its way to me at the moment.
Thanks, I phoned and they said they would send a new one, but I can’t find the receit
There is a new one on Amazon for £20, when I looked before the price was £40
I will contact Curry’s and see if I can get a copy of the sale, I should of registered for the 2 year gurantee.
