Is this possible via the USB port?

No, the 9200 will only record off air from its own tuners.

Only DVD recorders can record an external input as they have the required analogue to digital converters. PVR’s don’t have them because the broadcast stream they record is already digital.

    Thanks Biggles.

There’s not much in the manual about USB connections except that files from the PVR can be stored on the computer.

I was thinking “what’s the point of sending files from the PVR for storing on a computer it they can’t be retrieved?”. Next step “Could the PVR ‘retrieve’ information that’s been put on the computer from a different source”?

So a question. Will some PVRs take a video/audio signal from a computer, store it, then send it to a TV?

Yes but not a signal only from a digital file, depending on format. Most of the latest Humax pvrs have some sort of media player capability.

    Terrestrial HDR-FOX T2, HDR-1800T and HDR-2000T.

    Satellite HDR10xoS (and I guess HB1000S).

You don’t actually have to copy the content if they are connected to a home network, they all have DLNA client capability. They can play suitable content stored on a networked PC with DLNA server software.
