    Hi

    I recently had to move my TV and Humax box but thought I had managed to reconnect everything as it was, but now my Humax r/c won’t adjust volume or mute – I have to use my TVs remote for this. Everything else on humax r/c works fine; recording, channel change, programme guide etc . Anyone any ideas? I know it’s not the end of the world but it’s driving me mad!

    HI welcome to the forum. Check you have the scart plug in the socket on the box labelled TV. The vcr scart socket is a fixed volume level.

    hi Graham

    thanks for this – everything is now working fine. I should be red faced with embarrassment but one of the very few benefits of getting older is that it’s okay to be a bit rubbish with all things technical!
