    When I view recorded programmes there is often a small channel symbol up the left hand top corner of the screen. Is it possible to get rid of this either before or after recording?

    Do you mean the the channel DOG (Digital On Screen Graphic), it’s embedded in the broadcast video so no you can’t get rid of it. It will though be on live broadcasts as well. Are you sure it’s not generated by your TV (try pressing the info button on the TV remote a few times)
