    I bought this Humax on the weekend. The set-up programme stalled at the first page about language. I selected English and pressed OK. There was no reaction and it stuck on that page. Eventually, I turned it off to start again. It does not restart the set up procedure. How do I get back to beginning? The control turns the Humax on and off but does nothing else works. The TV is routed through the Humax and for the time being I am using the TV control for channel selection, but recording is not possible

    I will take it back for an exchange but would like to know, in case it happens again.

    How was the unit connected to tv?

    If HDMI then try using a scart cable and see if the set up process is displayed again and continues. After language the next item in the set up process is display.

    Thank you Barry, I did try the Scart cable as an alternative to the HDMI cable. It made no difference.The 2000T manual shows the sequence of screens that should follow.

    Sounds like it is faulty then, back to retail for exchange.
