Yes the HDD still powers up every 20 minutes.

InactiveThanks. I’ll skip pairing the app for remote recording and I’m not that interested in its other functions to make it attractive for me to use. So hopefully waiting for a user setting of how often it boots up to check for app-set recording data. Given Freesat’s response to other requests I’m not holding my breath.

InactiveWhy is it called Freesat when it is mainly aimed at Freetime users?

Why is it called Freesat when it is mainly aimed at Freetime users?
Because Freesat are promoting it as a Freesat TV guide for all to use to see what’s on and get recommendations from Showcase, with the added benefit of remote control functions and setting recordings on the move if you have a freetime box.

InactiveJudging by the pictures of the UI that are showing on the email I just received it seems that the Android App isn’t the same as the iOS App.
There’s doesn’t seem to be a Saved Items & On Demand section and there’s no little TV screen that shows what’s currently on or to drag and drop to change channel either.

InactiveJust had a play around with the Android App on an S4.
Apart from a few missing things such as no on demand & saved items sections and the little tv screen for dragging & dropping and showing what’s currently being watched, there’s some things that are actually better than the iOS version(iPhone).
Obviously things look a bit bigger due to screen size.
On the main screen you can scroll through Showcase banner without having to open it.
When looking at the guide, at the bottom of each picture of the current program that’s on is a green line that represents the current length that’s left of those program’s within their time slots.
iOS also has the green line, but only when you select the program which brings up the synopsis.
Hopefully now the Android version is out there, they can work on making some more improvement to both the apps and the way they work with the box.

InactiveTried to pair the Freesat box to my phone to be met with “Unable to access Freesat ID” error, the box is definitely connected (ethernet), rebooted and still no joy, might there be a problem with Humax Towers?
