I have tried factory reset no go. Will boot up but picture = light grey no sound, flashes on and of. I can switch of at mains and back on again and it works. The picture + sound cuts out for around 10 seconds then comes on again. It can be a while between these faults.Any ideas.

Firstly try removing the HDMI cable and replacing it with a scart cable. If that’s OK try a another hdmi cable.
