I have just bought a HDR-2000T recorded and have a number of issues that I can’t resolve.
1. Cannot record any programmes. I can set things to record but they don’t record. I have been into the system menu but the recordings option is greyed out and cannot be clicked
2. Cannot use the Live TV functions – when I press any button play/pause etc it wont do anything
3. Data Storage secion in the menu is greyed out and wont let me click on it
I have tried a Factory Reset and Format HDD but still I can’t click on either options in the menu or use Live TV
Any ideas?

Hard drive broken or may be simply disconnected. Take it back for a new box.
