InactiveDo you have a wakeup and sleep time set?.
Do you use it every day (I notice network activity on my HB-1000S (not used frequently), not every day but occasionally. I presume that it is to update the 8 day EPG, etc.
Not seem this on the HDR-1000S but mine is the main house unit and on a lot.

InactiveNo wakeup or sleep timer set.
But I’m wondering if because I have the phone line plugged-in
information is been uploaded somewhere ?
I’m sure Sky did this type of thing when I was with them…could be wrong though.
Thanks Again

Until recently, the pay-TV operators like Sky have had a big advantage when it comes to obtaining useful information from PVRs. Sky and BT and the others can link usage information to the customer’s details – a boon for analyzing user preferences for the purposes of scheduling, targeted advertising, etc.
Free TV services like FreeSat, Freeview, and YouView don’t have the customer’s details, apart from possibly an (unverified) postcode. Note that to use the FreeSat app for setting timers, you have to link the box to your FreeSat ID. It’s been suggested (http://decipherconsultancy.wordpress.com/2014/01/18/freesat-you-may-have-missed-the-point/) that this could allow the construction of a FTA customer database, in a limited sort of way.

InactiveI am sure that it searches for new software at this time as my Foxsat HDR does this at 00:15 every morning.

The Foxsat does it’s housekeeping at 03:00 daily – as well as looking for new firmware it downloads a complete EPG and updates it’s channel list.
The HDR-1000S looks for new software at every boot.
