Welcome to the forum
You can use any UK postcode you want, all it does is customise what channels you get at the lower channel numbers. Simply use your own UK one.
Any of the g2 freetime satellite boxes should be fine provided you have a suitable dish (2 spare lnb ports for the HDR1000/1010S and one for the HB1000S)
Thanks for such quick reply! I spoke to Maplins about the HDR 1000S 500GB or 1TB but I don’t know yet about the number of LNBs. They said that I could still install the box with either 1 or 2 LNBs. Is that correct?

Yes that is correct – 2 is better.
