InactiveTheres a new BBCiPlayer version to try on <free time> boxes.
When you goto BBCiPlayer from the On Demand menu, select Try the New iPlayer at the bottom of the screen.

InactiveI’ve been sporadically checking for this but haven’t got it yet. It’s arrived on my Smart TV, and in the iOS app store, but not on the HB1000S.

Yeah, Freesat posted on Facebook and Twitter a couple of hours ago it’s available to try on free time.

InactiveWell so far I do like this new version of iPlayer.
On screen graphics are easily removed quickly by pressing the back button which is great so no more missing any vital on screen text at start of a program or after you’ve had it on pause.
Fast-forward/Rewind is so much more accurate and user friendly than before.
However, you don’t seem to be able to stop playback without pressing pause, exit or starting playback of another program. You can still navigate through the menus but the current program carries on playing in the background unless it’s actually finished.

InactiveNew version is out of beta now and by the looks of things it does indeed load up the HD version of program’s from the previous guide which is an improvement from the previous version straight away.(providing of coarse you’ve selected that option via the iPlayer video quality settings)
One observation I’ve found that’s different to the beta is that pressing back does now go back, so to now get rid of the on screen graphics just keep pressing down.

InactiveThey seem to have removed the button that allowed you to access BBC Radio programmes. Can anyone advise me how to get the radio part of iPlayer?

Taken from the BBCiPlayer Blog:
Where is radio?
We decided not to include radio within this new version of BBC iPlayer. The low usage of radio on big-screen devices means it is not cost-effective to develop and support. You can continue to enjoy live radio on all Freeview and Freesat devices and live and on demand radio via BBC iPlayer Radio on computers, tablets and smart phones .
Edit: slightly beaten to it by Barry
